2n April , the Al-Isra and AlMeraj conference was organised by Islamic Association of estern Canada in association with -amia Masjid Aulia Allah in Surrey. The program began with the recitation of the Holy Quran. ocal Naat .hawans including Ahmed 5aza Ahmed, 5ayan Ahmed, r, Sheryar, r, Muzamil Ahmed and Mohammad Iqbal presented beautiful Naats in the honour of Holy Prophet saw . Imam and .hateeb of -amia Masjid Aulia Allah, Alhaaj Maulana Alama Abdul atif Naumani spoNe about the importance of Meraj with Surah Isra a . ( alted is He who tooN His Servant by night from al-Masjid al-Haram to al-Masjid al- Aqsa. He said that Prophet Muhammad pbuh , ascended to the seven heavens. His ascension tooN place from -erusalem. This miraculous night journey is one of the most important events in Islamic history because it not only established daily prayer in the Muslim way of life, but also tested the )aith of Muhammad s companions. 2ur Prophet Muhammad pbuh cared about His matti everywhere. He also told everyone about the conevrsation of Prophet Muhammad S. . with Prophet Musa a.s conversation to reduce from to times prayer a Day and said that Hadiths e ist about incident of Miraj. The main prominent speaNer of the event Imam Syed adiuddin Soharwardy who spoNe about the Isra and Meraj in detail. He recited Sura ini Israel verses and said that pillars of Islam are our strong belief and faith. The Isra and Meraj is a practical demonstration by Allah swt for us hich is started by Amant tu illah , No one can share in attribute of Allah swt . 2ther Prophets liNe Ibrahim A.S and Musa A.S and others they wanted to see Allah swt but couldn t. At Meraj, Allah swt sent Angel -ibril to bring Mohammad saw Himself. The verse starts in Surah Isra a . by Subhan . In our daily Duaa we say 2 my Allah , but here Allah used Abdahi ( alted is He who tooN His Servant So, Allah saw can do whatever H( wants. The Isra and Meraj of Holy Prophet saw tooN place in three parts, each corresponding to the tri-dimension persona of Holy Prophet saw . The first part of the journey was from Masjid al-Haram to Masjid al-Aqsa as is mentioned in the first verse of Surah ani IsraCil. This part of the -ourney was to be Nnown as the Isra. The second part of the journey, which is Nnown as the Meraj, was from Masjid al-Aqsa to Sidrat al-Muntaha. The last and final part of the journey was from Sidrat al-Muntaha to Qaba Qawsain this part of the journey is called ICraj. Syed Soharwardy also spoNe about ShirN at the occassion. At the end, he invited everyone for Q A session and answered many questions. At the end, Maulana Naumani made a heartfelt Dua for all those who attended the program and offered special prayers for the entire Muslim mmah.
