Surrey programs support local businesses during COVID-19 pandemic

-

The City of Surrey has launched a series of initiatives to support local businesses during the COVID-19 pandemic.

In addition to launching a COVID-19 Business Resource Centre, the City’s new Surrey Store to Door platform has connected thousands of local consumers to online businesses in the first week alone.

“As we all do our part to flatten the curve, there has been an unprecedented shift in how we connect with one another and do business,” said Mayor Doug McCallum. “But Surrey is a resilient community. Many local organizations have adapted their business models to ensure you still have access to the products and services you love at home. I want to personally thank residents for continuing to support Surrey businesses and their staff. This community resiliency is the very thing that will bring us back to our feet when this pandemic is behind us.” Surrey’s support programs for businesses include:

Centralized COVID-19 Business Resource Centre

Organizations can find business continuity plans, procurement opportunities, employment resources and consolidated financial supports on the City’s new COVID-19 Business Resource Centre.
