Al salāmu ‘alaikum wa rahmatullāh

We hope this message reaches you in the best of health and īmān. As per our verified moon-sighting policy, the BCMA hereby announces that Ramadān 1441 will commence on Friday, April 24, 2020. In light of the ongoing Covid-1 pandemic, we would like to share the following with the community.

This Ramadān will be unlike any other that we have witnessed in our lifetimes. We share the sadness of the community in not being able to congregate inside our masājid for salāh and taraweeh. However, we would like to remind everyone that we must remain content with the decree of Allah and use this time to seek His mercy and forgiveness. Although we will all greatly miss the communal aspect of Ramadān, we encourage the community to concentrate on the devotional aspect; it is through our sincerity of worship and devotion that we will attract the help and mercy of Allah during these challenging times. We encourage everyone to remember in their du’ās our brothers and sisters who have passed away as a result of Covid-1 as well as those who are on the frontlines caring for the sick during this pandemic.

We would also like to remind the community of the following.

1.All BCMA Masājid/Centres are closed for the public until further notice.

2./ive lectures/lessons are being conducted by our imams throughout the month of Ramadān. We encourage the community to benefit. These lectures can be accessed on your Masjid’s social media.

3We understand that these are financially trying times for many. If you’re are able, please continue to support your local Masjid through your generous contributions. ou can donate online at our website or on www. bcma.com and select the Masjid in your region.
