Canadian Muslim Media Club (CMMC) holds roundtable discussion with community leaders
On July 11, The Canadian Muslim Media Club (CMMC) organized a dinner and round table discussion about local community development at Taste of Lahore Restaurant in Surrey. Among the attendees were representatives from BCMA, PCA, PCCA, PCWS Fiji Islamic Centre, Masjid Auliya Allah including Presidents, Imam, representatives, Community social and political activists, business community members, and Media Members. Consul General of Pakistan Dr. Mohammad Tarik was the special guest at this event. The program started with the recitation by Molana A.L.Nomani.
Mr. Naveed Wararaich Public Relations Liaison (CMMC) moderated the event. He explained the purpose of the event to work closely with existing Muslim organizations to develop a reasonable understanding, and to find ways towards the positive Muslim Community’s growth in British Columbia. President CMMC Mr. Tarik Kiyani also gave details on the Canadian Muslim Media Club’s purpose of existence. Canadian Muslim Media Club primary mission is to expand media literacy, promote standard technologies, encourage ethical behavior, and share the best practices to develop and maintain a vibrant, inclusive media group that provides information, awareness, social programs, seminars, to the community. CMMC aims to bring together Muslim journalists, publishers, communication professionals, artists, amateur media creators, teachers, students, and other interested collaborators. Essentially the people who create and consume media who have an interest in seeing the ‘media industry’ evolve for everyone’s benefit.
Mr. Kiyani said that today everyone is especially gathered here to plan for the upcoming 2020 Provincial Election, so CMMC needs all your feedback about how to plan together and unite community at one platform.

Rabina Anjam(Business Women & ), Mr. Ijaz Chatah(Former School Trustee Surrey) Ms. Mehreen Chaudhry(Burnaby Councilor candidate), and many others gave their suggestions on to unite Muslim community in BC Provincial Election.
Mr. Naseer Pirzada(Treasurer) requested to all community leaders that they recognize the CMMC, and whenever they have an event they will send an invitation directly to CMMC, they will distribute among all Media members. In the end, Dr. Mohammad Tarik addressed and recognized the CMMC’s mission and gave some suggestions for future.
At the conclusion of a successful meeting, Cake cutting ceremony was held to celebrate 153rd Canada Day. Molana Nomani made Duaa for CMMC success in future and for unity in all Muslim Ummah
