Community honors retiring Imam and community Leader Qari abdul Wahab and celebrates new hufaadh at ceremony

On Aug 15, The Surrey Jameh Masjid Committee under the leadership of Asad Gondal. hosted a well-organized program at the occasion of the retirement of Qari Abdul Wahab remarkable 41 years services in BCMA as head Imam and Khateeb.s A large number of community members along with MP, MLA, Community Associations Heads, CMMC, Media, and Religious Scholars have participated. Mr. Jumard Beg (92 years) was the special guest of the event. Mr. Gondal was the master of ceremony assisted by Akmal Gundhra and Hafiz Hassan Ahmad. The program was in three segments. At first, Talawat was recited by Hafiz Hamadullah and after that Mufti Mouad current Imam of Surrey Jameh Masjid conducted the program and called all four new Hufaaz, Yusaf Patel, Hassan Ahmad, Yahya Patel, and M. Al Khalil graduated from Maktab program at the stage to receive the certificates by scholars. Mufti Mouad Aggoun and Molana M. Ibrahim Wadi were their Quran class teachers. In the second segment Mr. Jumard Beigh Mr. Sikandar Khan former BCMA President, Br. Altaf Sahib President, Mr. Malik Irfan Director paid the highest tribute to Qari Wahab for his tireless services in BCMA. Qari A. Wahab thanked all community members, all BCMA council members, and politicians for their cooperation with him. In his speech, he requested to all audience to forgive him for any misgivings and I forgave to all. He said that I remembered that I have had no problem with BCMA Committee in my 41 careers, he recalled his memory from day one of his arrival to this official departure from BCMA. I retired from BCMA but Inshallah will continue my religious service in Surrey Masjid. He reminded his delivered message of respect each other, be united, and forgive others. In the last segment, the BCMA Council given Awards and certificates to the community members and volunteers in the male and female crowd who serve or help BCMA in any kind of service.In the end, Qari Sahib was awarded by BCMA for his 41 years of service, the Candian Muslim Media Club (CMMC) was included as the recipient of the Award and also presented a plaque to Qari Sahib for his services.
