IMac hosts Shuhda-e-Karbala conference @ fiji Islamic centre Surrey

On Aug 20, the International Muslim Academy of Canada (IMAC) Shuda-e-Karbala Conference held at Fiji Islamic Centre Surrey to remember the great sacrifice of Hazrat Imam-e- Hussain (RA) and his companions in Karbala.

The program was well attended by the Muslim community. Mr. Ameen Khan was the MC. The program started with Tilawat-e-Quran-Pak by Saad Abdul Salis. Local Naat Khawans Br Adul Salis Rasool, and Mohammad Muzammil recited beautiful Naats and Nasheeds. Brother Abid Attari was the speaker from Dawat e Islami Centre Surrey, and he delivered a speech on Imam-eHussain and his companions and the importance of remembering all those who gave the ultimate sacrifice of their lives for Deen-e-Islam. After that Mr. Khan invited Imam and Khateeb of Fiji Centre Alhaj Maulana Abdul L. Naumani. He started with a few Quranic verses and Hadiths, he spoke about “Ahel Bayt and Respect and Status and sacrifices of Shuhda-e-Karbala”. He spoke about the importance of love and the status of Ahlul Bayt in our lives all the time not only for such a certain period or in a certain month. He said in Darood e Ibrahimi when we recite “Aal-e- Mohammad(saw)” it’s meaning and reference to the family of Prophet (SAW) is clear to everyone regardless of what sect you belong to. He added that the respect and importance of other 3 Khulafa e Rashideen and all other Sahabas (Prophet Mohammad (saw)’s companions) remains in its place.Maulana Naumani described the life of Hazrat Imam-e-Hussain and then the incident Karbala up to the 10th of Muharram.

In the end, Maulana Naumani offered Dua for Hzt. Imam-e-Hussain (RA) and his companions and the importance of remembering all those who gave the ultimate sacrifice of their lives for Deene-Islam and all Muslim Ummah.
