Auction 45s – Pictou New Horizons Club, 7 p.m. Admission $2. Karaoke – New Glasgow Legion by Doug Odo, 9 p.m.-1 a.m. Imagination Saturdays – Stellarton library, River John library, during open hours. Games, LEGO, arts table. Puppetry Club – Pictou library 10:30 a.m. For children 5+, preregistration required. Learn to make puppets and have them tell a story. Family Lego Time – Pictou library, 3-4:30 p.m. All are welcome. Card Party – Bridgeville Community Hall 7:30 p.m. Lunch served. Everyone welcome.

Men’s Ball Hockey League – Pictou Academy Gym, 2-4 p.m. $3 drop-in fee. Indoor shoes only please! Karaoke – Westville Legion, 7 p.m. Meat Roll – Pictou Legion, 2 p.m. Members and guests. Pictou County Fly Tyers – Meet in the Stellarton Seniors Club at the corner of Acadia Avenue and Park Street, 6:30-9 p.m. All necessary equipment and materials provided. New and experienced tyers welcome. Meditation – East River Meditation Centre, New Glasgow, 7 p.m. All welcome, please call ahead, 755-4325. Hootenanny – Stellarton legion, 6-10 p.m. $7 per person. Chase the Ace – Westville Fire Department and Westville Legion, 2-4 p.m., in support of Westville Fire and Rescue and the Westville Rink Commission. Cafe and Market – Merigomish Schoolhouse Community Centre, 10 a.m.-1 p.m. featuring a brunch and local market items for sale.

Caribou District Fire Department – 30th anniversary open house, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. 512 Three Brooks Rd. Trucks displays, equipment demos, horse and wagon rides, bouncy castle, barbecue, book giveaways for kids, door prizes. Cellar to Attic Sale – St. Andrews Presbyterian Church Hall, George St., New Glasgow, 8-11:30 a.m. Proceeds for pipe organ restoration fund. Large selection. Old Time Dance – West Branch Community Hall has been cancelled due to illness. Next dance is Aug. 27. Outside Giant Yard Sale – First Presbyterian, Stellarton, 8 a.m.noon. Something for everyone.

July 24

Hymn Sing Worship Service – Hosted by Lighthouse Mennonite Church, Hector Square Gazebo, Pictou, 6 p.m. Weather permitting. All welcome. Annual Chicken Barbecue – 11 a.m.-3 p.m. at Toney River community hall. 1/2 chicken meal: $12; 1/4 chicken meal: $8. Musical entertainment, new Toney River T-shirts for sale. St. Ann’s Outdoor Mass – Time 4 p.m., with Father Bernard MacAdam, plus the Philippine Choir of Pictou County. Please bring a lawn chair. For further info call 902-9222192 after 5 p.m.
