Hold and secure at schools resolved

SPRINGHILL – Shortly after 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, the elementary and junior-senior high schools in Springhill were placed in a precautionary hold and secure. The measure was made as a result of a threat made by a student, which was communicated to the schools. Once the threat was received RCMP were called and responded, resolving the issue around 9:30 a.m. Classes continued as normal for students at all three schools while the hold and secure was in progress.
