Hootenanny – Stellarton legion, 6-10 p.m. $7 per person. Cafe and Market – Merigomish Schoolhous­e Community Centre, 10 a.m.-1 p.m. featuring a brunch and local market items for sale.

Tea – Star of the Sea Centre after the 11:15 a.m. Stella Maris Mass. Everyone welcome. New Glasgow 55+ Club – Weekly 45’s cards in the New Glasgow fire hall 7:30 p.m. Lunch and prizes. Public welcome.

Dance – Stellarton legion 6-10 p.m. Cost $7 per person.

TOPS Group – Take Pounds Off Sensibly, non-profit organizati­on, Superstore community room, 9:3011:30 a.m. Mixed Darts – New Glasgow 55+ Club, 1:30 p.m., New Glasgow Fire Hall.

Over 50 Prize Bingo – Royal Canadian Legion, New Glasgow, 1:30 p.m. Lunch served.

Pictou Presbyteri­al of the AMS – Fall Rally at First Presbyteri­an Church, New Glasgow. The executive will meet at 1 p.m., rally starts at 2. Fellowship and lunch to follow. Please use the office door on MacLean St.

Yard Sale – Fundraiser for Warm Hearts Refugee Mission, St. Andrews Presbyteri­an Church, Westville, 8:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Donations of gently used items welcomed. For table rentals ($10) call Kathy 902755-4992. Harvest Potluck Supper – West Branch Community Hall 4-6 p.m. Scrumptiou­s casseroles of all descriptio­ns made by the West Branch Community, pie or apple crisp for desert. Admission $10 for adults, $5 for youths under 12. Under 5 free! Takeout available at the adult price. Old Time Dance – Toney River Community Hall 8 p.m. Music by Raymond, Marlene and Lynne. Admission $7. Shared lunch.

Concert – Caledonian Orchestra of Nova Scotia with guest vocalist Sarah Lennerton, Sharon St. John United Church, Stellarton, 2 p.m. Traditiona­l Scottish music. Tickets $15 at the door. Doors open 1:30.

Fall Gospel Concert – St. Andrew’s Presbyteri­an Church, Westville, 6 p.m. John Spyder Macdonald, Pictou Co. Brass and Reed Band, Stellarton Male Chorus, Keltic Chords, Floyd Rudolph, Diane MacNeil, Vocal Chords Quartet. Free will offering. Lunch and fellowship to follow.

Chase the Ace – Trenton legion, sponsored by legion and fire dept. 2-4 p.m. Must be present to win.
