Highland dancers pass SDTA exams
Members of the Pictou County Highland Dance Association and the Holly MacDonald-Bent School of Dance and the Brenda MacKay School took part in the 2016 Scottish Dance Teachers Alliance tour in the fall and have just received all passing grades from the Antigonish examiner, Janice Macquarrie. The following are the list of successful dancers:
HIGHLANDS Prep Test – Ruby Beaton and Savannah White Pre-Bronze – Lauren Hiltz Bronze – Cassie Moser, Penelope Brown and Abigail White Pre-Silver – Olivia Wilson Silver – Alyssa Ells Pre-Gold – Annika Murray and Jesse Maxner Gold – Rachel Rowan Scottish Award 1 – Amelia Parker, Sidney Baillie and Meg Maxner
Scottish Award 2 – Alaina Bryce, Ainslie Salter, Ellen Coffin, Beth McNeill and Grace Maxner
Scottish Award 4 – Madison Baillie Alyson Parker passed her associate exam which enables her to teach highland dance.

Congratulations are extended to Kiara Sutherland who has been successful in completing all exams with the Scottish Dance Teachers Alliance and to Alyson Parker who has passed her associate exam which enables her to teach highland dance. Allyson is the daughter of Jim and Brenda Parker of Durham and attends the Debby Stevenson School of Dance.
