● Pictou County Fly Tyers’ Club – Meets 6:30-9 p.m. at the Stellarton Seniors’ Club at the corner of Park St. and Acadia Ave. All welcome. Equipment, tools, materials and instructions supplied.
● Men’s Ball Hockey – Pictou Academy Gym, 2-4 p.m. $3 drop-in fee. Indoor shoes only please!

● Annual Mibby MacDonald Memorial – Auction 45’s tournament at 1 p.m. $24/team at Trenton Legion. Also corned beef & cabbage supper from 4 p.m.-sold out. $12/ person. Karaoke with KGB Entertainment from 6 p.m.-close.
● St. Patrick’s Day Dance – Westville Legion, Br. #35, from 9 p.m.-1 a.m. Music by Dave and Wendy MacIntosh. Admission $5 at door. All welcome.
● Salt Water in Your Socks – featuring tall tales and memorable Maritime music offered by John Spyder Macdonald, Pictou United Church, 47 James St., Pictou, 7 p.m. Tickets $15, available at 902-4858081.

● Kitchen Party and Silent Auction – 7 p.m. to 1 a.m. at Royal Canadian Legion Branch 34 New Glasgow. Music by Harold and The Boys, Allan O’Brien & Charlie Hafey and other local musicians. Sponsored by Pictou County Injured Workers Association and Royal Canadian Legion Branch 34.

March 19
● Chase the Ace – Trenton Legion & Trenton Fire Hall. Tickets sold at both venues from 2-4 p.m. with draw to follow at the legion. Must be present to win. Jackpot now stands at $24,132.50.
● Dance – Pictou legion, with MACKIE (Dean and Anne Marie MacKenzie), 6-10 p.m. Admission $5.
March 21
● Pictou East AGM – The Pictou East Conservative annual meeting at the Thorburn Fire Hall at 7 p.m. Guest speakers are Michelle and John Garth MacDonald who will speak on “How PTSD impacts the Entire Family.” Memberships available. Light refreshments.

March 23

● Planning Meeting – for the Embrace the World 2017 (formerly called Mind Matters) spring event, 7 p.m. 2nd floor of the Lawtons building in New Glasgow. New volunteer always welcome.

The Power of Music - Music Therapy, the benefits and how it can impact the lives of others, with Heather Cameron. Westville library, 3 p.m.
● Soup and Dessert – Luncheon at St. Paul’s Church, Merigomish,12 -2 p.m. price will be $8.50, with a pantry table sponsored by the board of managers.
March 25

● Casino Royale – Fundraiser for Special Olympics Pictou County 7-11 p.m. at Summer Street Industries, New Glasgow. Tickets $15 at the door, 19 years and over.
● Old Time Dance – 7:30 p.m. at West Branch Community Hall. Music by The MacKinnons plus Marilyn, Alvin and Aldie; Roger Simms, calling. Lunch served, shared sweets. Admission $.
March 26
● Spring Gospel Concert – St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Westville, 6 p.m. Featuring Pictou County Brass and Reed Band, Don Haggard, Robyn Alcorn, Ray Stewart, Floyd Rudolph, Sam Graham, Vocal Chords Quartet, Stellarton Male Chorus, Pictou United Choir and Green Hill/Alma United Choir.
