Sherry Ann MacNeill, of Westville and formerly of Pomquet, passed suddenly on March 17, 2017, in Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.

Born in Antigonish in 1967, she was a daughter of Gladys (Myette) and the late Louis Benoit.

Sherry was a hairdresse­r in her earlier years and since a homemaker and a grandma. She was a creative oil painter, having completed numerous pieces.

Besides her mother, she is survived by her husband, James; daughter, Nikki, at home; step-sons, Devin and Christophe­r, Westville; grandchild­ren, Nevaeh and Christian; sisters, Anita Tulk, Antigonish, and Helen (Bill) McGibbon, New Glasgow; brothers, Jimmy (Linda), Pomquet; Charlie (Pat), Pomquet; Joey (Jennifer), Pomquet; Eugene (Angela), Antigonish; and brotherin-law, Rick Bouchard.

Besides her father, she was predecease­d by sister, Mary Bouchard, infant siblings, Mary and Eugene, and brother-in-law, Bill Tulk.

Visitation will be held Sunday in C.L. Curry Funeral Home, 135 College Street, Antigonish, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held Monday at 3:00 p.m. in Ste. Croix Church, Pomquet, with Reverend Gary MacPherson presiding. Burial in Auburn Cemetery, Westville.
