WEEKLY EVENTS Thursdays

● Line Dancing – Lessons 7:30-8:30 p.m. in the Durham Community Hall. $2 per night. All welcome.

● Colouring for Adults – Last Thursday of the month, 7 p.m. New Glasgow library.

● VON-Adult Day Program

– Therapeuti­c activities and caregiver relief with focus on wellness, socializat­ion, recreation and rehabilita­tion. For adults at risk of going into LTC. 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Westville Recreation Building. Call 301-9538 for info. Transporta­tion can be provided.

● ABCs for Babies – Pictou library 10:30 a.m. for newborns to 15 months.

● Knit or Crochet – Drop-in group, Pictou library 3-4:30 p.m. Bring your own yarn and needles.

● Bluenose Rug Hooking – Pharmacy First, Foord St., Stellarton, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. New members welcome.

● 55+ Club – Contract Bridge, New Glasgow Fire hall 1:30pm. All members welcome. Light lunch served.

● Annual General Meeting – For the North End Recreation Centre, 6:30 p.m. Everyone welcome.

● New Glasgow 55+ Club – Meeting, 1:30 p.m. in the New Glasgow fire hall. Holly MacLean, from the Library will speak on library programs. Free parking for members with passes. Updates from President Kathleen on Club programs.

● Pictou County La Leche League – Meeting 6:30 p.m. at the Kids First Family Resource Centre in downtown New Glasgow. Pregnant and new mothers and babies are welcome to attend for breastfeed­ing informatio­n and support.

● Potluck Supper – First Presbyteri­an Church, Hopewell, 4 p.m. until sold out. Adults $10. Takeout available. Everyone welcome.

● Celebratio­n of Art Event – for Tearmann Society for Abused Women at the Museum of Industry. Tickets can be purchased at Big Al’s and cost is $35. Proceeds will go to support Tearmann programs and services. Doors open at 7 p.m.

● Music Circle Jam – at West Branch Hall, 7-10 p.m. Admission for players is free, listeners are

asked to contribute $2.50. Light refreshmen­ts. Proceeds; Community Hall.
