NEW GLASGOW – Karen Louise “Tiny” Desmond.

It is with broken hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our mom, Tiny, 328 Frederick St., New Glasgow, on May 7, 2017, at the Aberdeen Hospital.

Tiny was a retired PCW having worked at the Douglas Hospital in Montreal and Glen Haven Manor.

She loved her children and grandchild­ren to the moon and back. Tiny loved singing, bingo, and like her mom, was a loyal Blue Jays fan. She was well known for her love of music and especially singing karaoke.

“Tiny Bubbles” was a daughter of the late Evelyn Desmond Graham.

She is survived by her daughter, Evita (Willie); son, Quentin (Mandy); grandchild­ren: Teaia, Shalamar, Carmelo and Euriah; sisters: Annette (Greg) MacLean, Alice and Juanita, all of New Glasgow; Jessie (Daryl) Johnson, of Qatar; Carolyn “Dudy”, of Montreal; several nieces and nephews whom she had a great relationsh­ip with, especially Isiah.

She was predecease­d by maternal grandparen­ts, Isaac and Jessie (Paris) Desmond.

The family will receive visitors from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday, May 11, in the R.H. Porter Funeral Home, 55 Almont Ave., New Glasgow, from where funeral service will be held at 1pm Friday, May 12, with Mr. Brian Bowden officiatin­g. Interment in Lorne Street Cemetery.
