● VON-Adult Day Program

– Therapeuti­c activities and caregiver relief with focus on wellness, socializat­ion, recreation and rehabilita­tion. For adults at risk of going into LTC. 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Westville Recreation Building. Call 301-9538 for info. Transporta­tion can be provided.

● ABCs for Babies – Pictou library 10:30 a.m. for newborns to 15 months.

● Auction 45s – Trenton Legion at 7 p.m.

● Live Auction – Hosted by Rotary Club of Westville at the Westville Civic Centre. Item viewing at 6 p.m. and auction at 6:30 p.m. with auctioneer, AdrianVan de Sande. Refreshmen­ts available.

● New Glasgow 55+ Club – AGM in the NG Fire Hall. Update on the NG Recreation Department Activities for Summer 2017. Also fashion show and sale on gently used clothing modeled by club members at 1:30 p.m. Fundraiser for the new club house. Annual report by the president. Club barbecue.

● Pictou County La Leche League – Monthly meeting 6:30 p.m., Kids First Family Resource Centre, downtown New Glasgow. Pregnant and new mothers and babies are welcome to attend for breastfeed­ing informatio­n and support.

● Witnesses to a New Nation

– Heritage Trust of Nova Scotia presents a photo exhibit of 150 buildings that saw Confederat­ion. Opening event at 7 p.m. at Museum of Industry, 147 North Foord St., Stellarton. Exhibit runs until June 19. Free Admission. Learn more at museum of industry. novascotia.ca

● Pictou County Fuel Fund – Annual general meeting, Summer Street Industries, 4:30 p.m.

● Pictou County Chapter Silent Witness Nova Scotia – AGM 6 p.m. at the Community Room, West Side Sobeys, 38 George St., New Glasgow. Special guest, Denenia Baillie Dobbin, whose mother was murdered, will speak.

● Cribbage – Trenton Legion at 7 p.m.

Members will receive a report from our Chair on the activities and progress over 2016-2017 fiscal year; financial report from our Treasurer detailing the group’s finances; selecting our Executive
