● VON-Adult Day Program

● Live Auction – Hosted by Rotary Club of Westville at the Westville Civic Centre. Item viewing at 6 p.m. and auction at 6:30 p.m. with auctioneer, AdrianVan de Sande. Refreshments available.
● New Glasgow 55+ Club – AGM in the NG Fire Hall. Update on the NG Recreation Department Activities for Summer 2017. Also fashion show and sale on gently used clothing modeled by club members at 1:30 p.m. Fundraiser for the new club house. Annual report by the president. Club barbecue.
● Pictou County La Leche League – Monthly meeting 6:30 p.m., Kids First Family Resource Centre, downtown New Glasgow. Pregnant and new mothers and babies are welcome to attend for breastfeeding information and support.
June 8
● Witnesses to a New Nation
– Heritage Trust of Nova Scotia presents a photo exhibit of 150 buildings that saw Confederation. Opening event at 7 p.m. at Museum of Industry, 147 North Foord St., Stellarton. Exhibit runs until June 19. Free Admission. Learn more at museum of industry. novascotia.ca
● Pictou County Fuel Fund – Annual general meeting, Summer Street Industries, 4:30 p.m.
● Pictou County Chapter Silent Witness Nova Scotia – AGM 6 p.m. at the Community Room, West Side Sobeys, 38 George St., New Glasgow. Special guest, Denenia Baillie Dobbin, whose mother was murdered, will speak.

● Let Abilities Work Partnership Society – Annual General Meeting 1 p.m., Christian Fellowship Church basement, Abercrombie Rd., New Glasgow. All welcome to provide input. Members will receive a report from our Chair on the activities and progress over 2016-2017 fiscal year; financial report from our Treasurer detailing the group’s finances; selecting our Executive
Committee members and Directors for 2017-18. Afternoon refreshments.
