Dancers represent county at Festival of Tartans competition

The Festival of the Tartans Highland Dance Competition was held in New Glasgow on July 15. Judges were Jennifer Stephenson, QC, and Carolyn Spears, NS. Local dancers represented the county very well on their home stage. Their results are: Primary 6 — Alexandria Robley: 16 Pas de Basques 4th. Beginner 7 & Under — Ruby Beaton: Highland Fling 6th, Sword 6th. Beginner 8 & 9 — Abigail White: Lilt 4th, Highland Fling 1st, Sword 2nd, Seann Triubhas 1st, High aggregate trophy winner. Beginner 10 & Over — Kate Koch: Lilt 4th, Highland Fling 5th, Sword 3rd. — Hadley Chapman: Lilt 3rd, Highland Fling 1st, Seann Triubhas 1st. Novice 10 & Over — Alyssa Ells: Flora 2nd, Highland Fling 1st, Sword 2nd, Seann Triubhas 1st, High aggregate trophy winner. Intermediate 9 & Under — Penelope Brown: Seann Triubhas 2nd, Barracks 5th, Laddie 3rd. Intermediate 10 & 11 — Lauren Hiltz: Seann Triubhas 6th, Barracks 5th, Laddie 1st.
