Auction 45s – Pictou New Horizons Club, 7 p.m. Admission $2.

Karaoke – New Glasgow Legion by Doug Odo, 9 p.m.-1 a.m.

Family Lego Time – Pictou library, runs all day. All are welcome.

Card Party – Bridgevill­e Community Hall 7:30 p.m. Lunch served. Everyone welcome.

Imaginatio­n Saturdays – Make something cool to take home, crafts, Lego (drop-in, all ages) 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Pictou Library; 10 a.m.-3 p.m. River John Library; 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Westville Public Library; 11 a.m.4 p.m. Stellarton Public Library.

Book Sale – Sister Catherine Steele Centre. Thursday, Friday 11 a.m.-5 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m.-noon. Sponsored by Our Lady of Lourdes CWL.

August 26

Yard Sale – sponsored by the Pictou County Mental Illness Family Support Associatio­n in the parking lot of Pharmacy First in Stellarton (266 Foord St.) from 8:30 a.m. -1:30 p.m. weather permitting. The sale is in support of the Bright Smiles Project. To donate items call Elaine at 902-695-6118.

Anniversar­y celebratio­n – St. Andrew’s Presbyteri­an Church, Gairloch, will celebrate its 195th anniversar­y on Sunday, Aug. 27 at 3 p.m. Guest speaker will be Mrs. Mary MacLean. Special music will be provided and a lunch to follow. All are welcome.

Monday Music in Alma – Pam LeBlanc and Friends present an evening of fiddles and fun to wrap up the summer series at Greenhill-Alma United Church. Adm: $10 or what you can afford.
