Aulden “Freck” Jenkins

TRENTON – It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Aulden Jackson “Freck” Jenkins, age 85, of Valley View Vila, formerly of Trenton, on Thursday, Oct. 12, 2017.

Born in Trenton, he was the son of the late Forrest and Bertha Mae (Burns) Jenkins. He retired from Trenton works as a welder after 42 years. He then took great pride in his property, especially his prized hedge.

His love of music and dancing ran as deep as his love for his family. His warm smile and twinkle in his eyes will always be remembered by all who knew and loved him. He was a loving husband and a best friend to Renie (McInnis); a very proud father to Dawn (Marc) Albert; a pillar of wisdom to grandsons, Michael and Jamie and an “Old Gramp” to great granddaugh­ters, Alexis, Bella and Addison.

He is survived by his sisters, Betty Cooke, Verna Murray; sisters-in-law, Marg Jenkins, Mid Connell, Mamie Henderson, brothers-in-law, Colin (Norma) McInnis, Bet (Marlene) McInnis; many nieces and nephews; and his extended family, Barbara, Crystal Lenny and kids.

He was predecease­d by his son, Brian Douglas; sisters, Dorothy and Lee; brothers, Ernie and Mackie.

Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday, in the RH Porter Funeral Home, High St., Trenton. Funeral service 11 a.m. Monday in Saint John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, New Glasgow, with Father Tom McNeil officiatin­g. Burial will be in Christ the King Cemetery.
