WEEKLY EVENTS Fridays

● Chase the Ace – River John Legion. Doors open at 6 p.m. Tickets sold 6:30-8:30 p.m. with draw at 9 p.m. Tickets three for $5, seven for $10 and 15 for $20. Must be present to win. Music by The Geezer.

● Chase the Ace – With entertainm­ent at Pictou Legion, 7:30-9:30 p.m.

● Cribbage – Westville legion, 7:30 p.m. Admission $5. Meat Darts, 8 p.m., cost $4. All welcome.

● Card Party – St Bee’s Church Hall, Westville. Doors open at 7 p.m. Cards start at 7:30 p.m. Cash prizes, plus lunch is served.

● Knitting Circle – The Stellar Knitters, 1 p.m. at Stellarton library, novice and experience­d. Yarn and needles can be supplied or bring your own project.

● Toddle Time – 10:15-11:15 a.m., Westville Library, ages 18 months-3 years. Stories, songs, games, crafts. To register, 902-396-5022.

● Gamers Afterschoo­l – 3-5 p.m., Westville library. Drop in for a gaming session for children ages 8-14.

● Br. 29, RCL, Trenton – Meeting 7 p.m. Election of officers for coming year will be held.

● Election – Branch 28 Stellarton Legion meeting and election of 2018 executive will be held at 7:30 p.m. Current Legion cards must be shown.

● Employer Informatio­n Session – 1:30-3 p.m. at Glasgow Square, New Glasgow. Hosted by Immmigrati­on Services of Nova Scotia and Nova Scotia Works Career Connection­s. Meet with local employers and learn about current and upcoming employment opportunit­ies.

● Christmas Craft Shoppe – Mill Brook Community Club, Pictou County, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Admission $2. Cash or Visa only. Take Exit 20 and follow the signs.

November 18

● Annual Christmas Craft Fair – St. Paul’s Presbyteri­an Church, Merigomish, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Featuring: pottery, woodwork, soaps, baked goods, preserves, candy, fudge and Christmas pudding. Handcrafts, mittens, scarves, jewelry, paintings, Christmas ornaments, swag, outdoor containers and more. $3 at the door includes refreshmen­ts.

● Coffee Party – Plymouth Fire Hall, 10 a.m. – noon. Adults $6. Child $3. Bake, book and new-to-you tables.

● Cape Breton Style Square Dance

– Plymouth Community Centre. Come to listen or come to dance. Music by Heather Cameron, Lorna Kennedy, and Fhinn Timmons. Beginners lesson at 6:30 p.m. led by Irene Endicott. Dance begins at 7 p.m. $5 or by donation.

● Christmas in Durham Craft Fair

– Durham Community Hall (1679 Green Hill Road). All local artisans and products. 10 a.m.-3 p.m., $2 admission.

● Calvin Ladies Aid Christmas Tea and Sale – At IOOF hall in Sunny Brae from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Adults $4, children $2. Craft, pantry and new to you tables.

● Annual Christmas Tea & Sale – Abercrombi­e Community Centre 2-4 p.m. Admission $3.
