Donald “Russell” Stewart
NEW GLASGOW – Donald “Russell” Stewart, 60, New Glasgow, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2017, in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
Born in New Glasgow, he was a son of Jean (Russell) and the late Donald Stewart. Russell retired from Michelin Canada in 2016 after
40 years of service. He had a great appreciation for music and loved the regular family get-togethers when they all would sing and play guitar, and was an avid Blue Jays fan.
Surviving are wife, Veronique Outerleys; sons, Mitchell (Cathy), New Glasgow; Donnie (Lisa), Coalburn; grandchildren: Jordyn, Sarina, Kelsey, Jake, Mitchell, Bekki, Lyndsey, and Ben; brothers, Kenny (Doreen), Greenwood; Greg (Joanne), Thorburn; Eric (Joyce), Courtice, Ont; Stephen (Angela), Toronto, Ont; Jamie (Cheryl), Westville; sister, Darlene Mason, Stellarton; mother-in-law, Jacqueline Outerleys, New Glasgow; brothers-in-law, Frederic (Angela), New Glasgow; Philippe (Karen), Centerville; his furry companion, Oreo; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Besides his father, he was predeceased by his fatherin-law, Hubert Outerleys.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in P&K MacDonald Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dr. Glen Matheson officiating.
Donations may be made in Russell’s memory to Pictou County SPCA.
