Auction 45s – Pictou New Horizons Club, 7 p.m. Admission $2.

Karaoke – New Glasgow Legion by Doug Odo, 9 p.m.-1 a.m.

Family Lego Time – Pictou library, runs all day. All are welcome.

Card Party – Bridgevill­e Community Hall 7:30 p.m. Lunch served. Everyone welcome.

Imaginatio­n Saturdays – Make something cool to take home, crafts, Lego (drop-in, all ages) 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Pictou Library; 10 a.m.-3 p.m. River John Library; 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Westville Public Library; 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Stellarton Public Library.

Auction 45s – at Trenton Legion at 1 p.m.

Old Time Dance – 7:30 p.m. at West Branch Community Hall. Music by The MacKinnons plus Marilyn, Alvin and Tracy; Roger Simm, calling. Lunch served, shared sweets. Admission $7. ●4BOUB $MBVT JT $PNJOH – Pictou Library 11 a.m. visit and sharing one of his favourite books. Candy canes, cookies, hot chocolate and books for all the children courtesy of the Adopt a Library Literacy Program.

December 17

● Christmas Bake Sale – Highland Square Mall, New Glasgow, 10 a.m. until sold out. All proceeds to Earth ARC Animal Respite Centre.

● Pancake Breakfast – Fundraiser for The Heatherbel­l Pipes and Drums from 8-10 a.m. at Caribou Fire Hall. Cost is $6 for Adults and $4 for Children 10 & under.

● Advent Season – ‘The Nazareth Evening News’ (drama and song), Trenton Church of the Nazarene 6 p.m. Corner of Duke and Main St.

● Chase the Ace – at Trenton Legion spons. by Trenton Fire Dept and Br. #29. Tickets sold from 2-4 p.m. with draw to follow. Must be present to win. This week’s jackpot starts at $13,236.50. Six extra Christmas draws for gift cards will also take place. Karaoke with KGB Ent. right after draw from 4:30-9 p.m. This will be final Chase the Ace for this year and it will resume as usual Jan. 7.

● Celebratio­n of Life – at Glen Haven Manor in Bluenose Dock at 2 p.m.. All families, residents, staff and friends welcome.

● Community Christmas Dinner

– St George’s Anglican Church, 199 Temperence St., New Glasgow, 12 to 2 p.m. This dinner is for those who may be working, alone, new to our area, a senior or in need. Tickets are free. For more info call 902 752-4551.
