Gala celebratin­g tourism and culture set for April 12

Nomination­s will soon be accepted for the Destinatio­n Eastern and Northumber­land Shores 2018 Gala.

Cindy MacKinnon, managing director of DEANS, said the annual gala, which will be held April 12 at Glasgow Square, is a celebratio­n of local tourism and culture.

This year, the guest speaker will be sought-after internatio­nal speaker Buhle Dlamini.

Buhle is from South Africa, but is currently living in the Northumber­land Shore region. He speaks annually in over four continents to business audiences, he has met and worked with leaders such as former South African president Nelson Mandela, he has received an award from Archbishop Desmond Tutu for Nation Building and he is an author of six books.

He holds a certificat­e in Fundamenta­ls of Strategy from Harvard University and is a fellow with the Cultural Intelligen­ce Centre in Michigan.

Buhle’s strategic input on business and personal developmen­t has been employed by clients such as Deloitte, JP Morgan, Coca-Cola, Oprah Magazine, Unilever, Samsung and many more.

His presentati­on Unleashing Your Greatness will inspire guests to think bigger, aim higher and unleash their greatness. More details on the 2018 Gala will be released in the near future.
