• Free tax clinic – for simple, low income returns from 1 p.m.-4 p.m. at New Glasgow Superstore.

• Women Together – Pictou County Women’s Resource Centre, 503 South Frederick St., 10-11:30 a.m. Learn, socialize, connect. Learning internet safety.

• NFB Film Club – New Glasgow library 7 p.m. ‘Brother 2 Brother’ – African Canadian tries to reconcile his urge to be a hustler with need to be a responsibl­e father and partner.

• Museum Display – Hope and Survival: The Halifax Explosion Memorial Quilt, created by award-winning Nova Scotia textile artist, Laurie Swim to mark the Centenary of the 1917 Halifax Explosion. honours the lives lost and dramatical­ly changed, and heroic efforts made to assist. Museum of Industry, Stellarton.

February 28

• Music Circle Jam – 6:30-9:30 p.m. at West Branch Community Hall. Admission for players is free, listeners free will, $2.50 suggested. Light refreshmen­ts. Proceeds to hall.

• Scouting Meeting – from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Trenton Elementary School, 10 Sixth Street, for anyone interested in helping with scouting in the county. Looking for people to help with the area council, properties and specia events like cub cars, camporee, fishing derby, etc. Also youth 16 and older can become a youth leader.
