Lynda Lorraine Buell, 70

Lynda “Lorraine” Buell (nee Harvey), of Stellarton, Nova Scotia, passed away at home on Monday, Feb. 26, 2018.

Lorraine was born on June 23, 1947, daughter of the late William (Bill) and Rena (Doyle) Harvey of New Glasgow.

She will be dearly missed by her husband of 49 years, Rod Buell; daughter, Angela (Phillip) Walsh, grandchild­ren, Riley and Laura Walsh; son, Robert Buell and granddaugh­ter Chloe Buell, all of Ottawa; sister, Debbie (Gary) Tobacco of Stellarton, niece, Julie (Tim) Leblanc, and greatniece and nephew Cody and Avery Leblanc of New Glasgow; brother, Bernie Harvey (Michelle) Lyons Brook; brother- and sister-in-law Bob and Evelyn Buell of Westville and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was predecease­d by her brother, Robert Harvey of New Glasgow, Mother- and Father-in-law, Bill and Mildred Buell of Stellarton.

Lorraine took great pride in her career as Executive Office Administra­tor at the Nova Scotia Addiction Services (Pictou) for 20 years until her retirement in March of 2015. The friendship­s and bonds developed with her co-workers made her job a true pleasure.

Lorraine was a very kind and gentle soul who dedicated her life to family and friends. Her keen sense of humour, contagious laugh, zest for life and generous spirit will be fondly remembered by all of her family, close friends and co-workers.

Lorraine is resting at H.W. Angus Funeral Home, New Glasgow, with visitation on Friday, March 2, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Her funeral service will be held from H.W. Angus Funeral chapel on Saturday, March 3, at 11 a.m. with Father Colin MacKinnon presiding. Burial will be in the Heatherdal­e Memorial Gardens. There will be a reception at the Stellarton Fire Hall following the burial. Family flowers only. Donations may be made to the Canadian Lung Associatio­n.
