• Knitting Circle – Alternating Saturdays at 2:30 p.m., New Glasgow library.
• Auction 45’s – Pictou New Horizons Club, 7 p.m. Admission $2.
• Karaoke – New Glasgow Legion by Doug Odo, 9 p.m.-1 a.m.
• Family Lego Time – Pictou library, runs all day. All are welcome.
• Card Party – Bridgeville Community Hall 7:30 p.m. Lunch served. Everyone welcome.
• Imagination Saturdays – Make something cool to take home, crafts, Lego (drop-in, all ages) 10 a.m.4:30 p.m. Pictou Library; 10 a.m.3 p.m. River John Library; 10 a.m.3 p.m. Westville Public Library; 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Stellarton Public Library.

• Your Benefits – Learn about Canada Pension Plan and Old Age Security, Westville library 2-3 p.m., with specialist from Service Canada.
March 3
• Auction 45’s – at Trenton Legion at 1 p.m.
• Music Heals – Nationwide fundraiser promoting music therapy, at The Dock, George St., New Glasgow, 8-10 p.m. Admission by donation. Featuring performances by Karen Corbin and Heather Cameron with Kenny Stewart.
March 4
• Chase the Ace – Trenton Legion spons. by Trenton Fire Dept and Br. #29. Tickets sold from 2-4 p.m. with draw to follow. Must be present to win. Advance tickets: Tartan Blade Barbershop, Needs Trenton, Needs Stellarton Rotary, Sobeys Express, Abercrombie Variety, Cornish’s Variety and Cocoa Beach Tanning. Jackpot at $23,228. Karaoke with KGB Ent. 4:30-9 p.m.
• Chase the Ace – for Westville Rink and Westville Legion from 1-3 p.m. held at Westville Legion Br.#35. Current jackpot $14,122.50.
March 5
• Free Tax Clinic – for simple, low income returns from 1 p.m.-4 p.m. at Pictou Legion.
• Aberdeen Hospital Auxiliary Meeting – 12:30 p.m. in the first floor board room at the Aberdeen Hospital. New members welcome.
• Community Conversation – Sexual violence in Pictou County, Aberdeen Sobeys Community Room, 610 East River Rd., 5-8 p.m. Resources available for survivors, what is being done and could be done better, etc. All welcome. Dinner provided.
March 6
• Free Tax Clinic – for simple, low income returns from 1 p.m.-4 p.m. at Westville Library/gym.
• Free Public Workshop – Landbird species at risk in forested Westlands, New Glasgow library community room 6:30-8:30 p.m., led by Dr. Cindy Staicer of Dalhousie University.
March 6 to April 28
• Exhibit of Photographs – Created by Michael Hagenbuch and Michael Byrne, at The Bistro, 216 Archimedes St., New Glasgow.
March 7
• Celebrate Literacy – PiCCoLA will present Mister J, the magician performing in the Community Room of the New Glasgow Library from 3:30 -4:30 p.m.
• Music Circle Jam – West Branch Community Hall 6:30-9:30 p.m. Admission for players is free, listeners free will, $2.50 suggested. Light refreshments. Proceeds to Community Hall. Come on down and give it a try.
March 8
• Free tax clinic – for simple, low income returns from 1 p.m.-4 p.m. at New Glasgow library. By appointment only. Call (902) 755-6031.
• Training Sessions – One-on-one for all things tech-related, Pictou library, 3-5 p.m. Call 902-485-5021 or drop in to make an appointment with Jennifer.
• International Women’s Day – The Pictou County Women’s Resource and Sexual Assault Centre will be hosting a breakfast, keynote, and Q&A with Hon. Senator Wanda Thomas Bernard, PhD, C.M, O.N.S., 7:30-10:30 a.m., tickets $15. Space is limited. Tickets can be picked up at The Centre, 503 S Frederick St., New Glasgow.
