Harry Osborne “Scoop” Wood, of Westville passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 15, 2018, in Valley View Villa, Riverton.

Born in Westville, he was a son of the late Albert “Bert” and Jennie (Watters) Wood.

Harry also known as “Scoop” served in the Canadian Armed Forces for several years. After returning to his home of Westville, he worked as a bus driver with the Pictou County Bus Lines. He especially enjoyed walking his dogs through Westville often stopping to give a little wave to those who went by.

Harry is survived by his daughters, Billie Jo Davidson (Steven), Pictou; Kelly Steeves, Ontario; grandchild­ren, Traci Davidson-Fievet (Nick), Westville; Samantha Davidson (Tristan), Hopewell; great-grandchild­ren, Nathan Scanlan, Sylena Fraser, Nova Hawke, Andrew Fievet, Hugie Hawke; and grandchild­ren, Kris, Melissa and April in Ontario; sister, Mary Harrison, Vernon, B.C., and several nieces and nephews.

He was predecease­d by sisters, Glendine Hodgson (Art); Romaine Vint (Bert); Earla Halliday (Arvin); and Margie Wood and brothers, John “Bucky” Wood (Jessie) and Douglas Wood (Mary).

There will be no visitation­s. His funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Monday from Eagles Funeral Chapel, Westville, with Father Barrett Clair Johnson officiatin­g. Interment will be in the Auburn Cemetery. www. eaglesfune­ralhome.ca
