STELLARTON – H. Watson Sangster, 92, of Stellarton passed away Saturday, March 17, 2018, in Valley View Villa, Riverton.

Born in Lower New Harbour, Guysboroug­h County, he was the son of the late Arthur Oscar and Mable Eugene Sangster. He was a Supervisor in the Steel Furnishing Department of MacGregor Bedding, retiring in 1987. Watson was a life member of the former Calvary Temple Church, New Glasgow, helping to construct the church. He was a faithful supporter and served on the church board and treasurer for over 20 years. He was a member of the Fifty Plus Club, The Gideons Internatio­nal since 1965 and served as treasurer/secretary for Gideons Pictou Camp.

Surviving are daughter, Sonya Sangster, Stellarton; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was predecease­d by his wife, Jean Lillian (Luddington); sisters, Genesta Uloth, Dorothy Sangster, Gertrude Sangster, June MacKay; brother, Alex.

The family will receive visitors 6-8 p.m., Monday, March 19th in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home, New Glasgow, from where funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 20th with Rev. Keith Hazzard officiatin­g. Interment will be in Brookside Cemetery, New Glasgow.

Family flowers only. Donations may be made in Watson’s memory to The Gideons Internatio­nal In Canada or the Pictou County SPCA.
