-

It is with sadness, that we announce the passing of our Mom, Dorothy Elizabeth Jardine of Haven Brook Manor and formerly of Union Centre, on Wednesday March 21, 2018, in Glen Haven Manor, New Glasgow.

Mom was born April 7, 1928, to the late Albert and Lucy (MacDonald) Cameron of Hazel Glen and was just three weeks short of her 90th birthday.

Mom was the anchor of our family, she was a wise lady and she instilled her values in her kids and grandchildren and she didn’t mind telling us if she thought we stepped out of line! She taught us the meaning of the word strength and said it was her faith that got her through the loss of her husband, Murray, two sons, Glen and James, and her two grandsons, Jason and Jamie. Mom was a member of the Middle River Presbyterian Church, Rocklin, and a life member of AMS and Ladies Aid.

Mom will be dearly missed by her daughter, Isabel Fancey (Barry), sons, John (Wendy), Ken (Nancy); sister, Evelyn Millen; two sistersin-law, Wilma and Marie Cameron. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren: Scott, Steven, Krista, Sherry, Kenny, and Tracy; 11 great-grandchildren: Tanner, Keegan, Camden, Cale, Shayla, Jessica, Scottie, Tacha, Pruedence, Dria, and Lleyton; and 3 great-great grandchildren. Mom was very proud of all her grandchildren.

She was also predeceased by brothers: Sam, Willard, Ernie, Donald, and Jim Cameron and brother-in-law, Frank Millen.

Mom is resting at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville, with visiting on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Her funeral service will be held 2 o’clock Saturday from Middle River Presbyterian Church, Rocklin, with Bonnie Langille officiating.
