• New Glasgow 50-Plus Club – Dance exercises 11 a.m. Bridge 1:30 p.m.

• Karaoke/Dance – 8-11 p.m. at Pictou Legion. Admission $3. Everyone welcome.

• Coffee and Conve-Rsation – Pictou County Women’s Resource and Sexual Assault Centre, 503 South Frederick St., New Glasgow, for women 1-3 p.m.

• Colouring for Adults – Last Thursday of the month, 7 p.m. New Glasgow library.

• Community Choir – The Trinitaria­ns rehearse 10 a.m.-12, Multi-Purpose Room, Trinity United Church, Temperance St., New Glasgow, MacLean St. entrance. New members welcome. More info contact Monica George Punke at (902) 752-1297.

• Al-Anon – 12-step-program at

7 p.m. at Nova Scotia Community College in Stellarton, Room C153. Meetings for family and friends affected by a loved one addicted to alcohol.

• Zumba/Zumba Toning – Westville legion, 7-8 p.m., $5 drop-in.

• Cribbage – Pictou New Horizons Club, 7 p.m. Admission $2.

• Card Party – 7:30 p.m. in the Thorburn Fire Hall. Light lunch served.

• VON-Adult Day Program – Therapeuti­c activities and caregiver relief with focus on wellness, socializat­ion, recreation and rehabilita­tion. For adults at risk of going into LTC. 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Westville Recreation Building. Call 301-9538 for info. Transporta­tion can be provided.

• 50 Plus Club – Meeting at the New Glasgow Fire Department 1:30 p.m. Speaker will be Shelley Thompson from the Women’s Centre.

• Music Circle Jam – West Branch Hall 6:30-9:30 p.m. Admission for players is free, listeners free will, $2.50 suggested. Light refreshmen­ts. Proceeds to community hall.

• Auction 45’s – Trenton Legion 7 p.m. April 5

• Free tax clinic – for simple, low income returns from 1 p.m.-4 p.m. at New Glasgow library. By appointmen­t only. Call (902) 755-6031.

• Aberdeen Hospital Alumnae Associatio­n – Meeting 1:30 p.m. at North End Rec Centre. April 5-7

• New Glasgow Music Festival

Musical Theatre classes, North Nova Education Centre. Thursday (9-14 years), 6:30-9 p.m.; Friday (11-12 years, Ensemble, Duets, 15-16 years), 6:30-9 p.m.; Saturday (10 years and under), 1-3:30 p.m., and (13-14, 1516, 17-18 years and Duets), 6:309 p.m. Admission $5 or $10 for a full festival pass.
