• Mixed Dart League – Westville legion, 7:30 p.m. Admission, $20 per person to join for the year. Everyone welcome.

• Toddle Time – Pictou library, 10:30 a.m., for 15 months to 3 years. Youth programs 3-5 p.m.

• VON-Adult Day Program – Therapeuti­c activities and caregiver relief with focus on wellness, socializat­ion, recreation and rehabilita­tion. For adults at risk of going into LTC. 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Westville Recreation Building. Call 301-9538 for info. Transporta­tion can be provided.

• Telford Cemetery – Annual meeting at Sutherland­s River Community Centre 7 p.m. All lot holders are urged to attend.

• Forest Hill Cemetery – Meeting at Union Centre Hall 7 p.m. Lot holders are asked to attend.

• Women Alike Group – Meeting at Glen Haven Manor (back door) 7 p.m. Guest speaker will be Dr. Ann Kwasniak and Rhonda Langille from Palliative Care. This is a meeting for breast cancer survivors. There will be a few snacks provided at the end.

April 10

• NFB Film Club – Pictou library 1 p.m. Follows a group of Royal Canadian Air Cadets at elite training camp.

• Launch – Sexual Assault Awareness Month, Glasgow Square, 1 p.m. Re-signing of the sexual violence proclamati­on, speakers, treats.

• Mental Illness Family Support Group – Meeting in Room B-120 at NSCC , 39 Acadia Ave., Stellarton 7-9 p.m. Erik Neilsen, Probation Officer (Supervisor) with The Nova Scotia Department of Justice will join for a presentati­on and discussion. Everyone welcome.

• Women Together – Women’s Resource Centre, 503 South Frederick St., New Glasgow, 10-11:30 a.m. Wills with Mary Jane Saunders from Mac Mac & Mac. Transporta­tion, childcare subsidies available upon request.

• Pictou County Parkinson Support Group – Meeting 1:30-3:30 p.m. in the community meeting room of the Atlantic Superstore. Guest speaker will be pharmacist David MacLean.

• TOPS Stellarton – Open house at Birch Hill Seniors Complex, 43 Acadia Ave., Stellarton, 12:30-2:30 p.m. A lite snack will be available. Come and see what we are about and how we may be able to help you lose some weight and feel much better .

April 11

• Music Circle Jam – West Branch Community Hall 6:30-9:30 p.m. Admission for players is free, listeners free will, $2.50 suggested. Light refreshmen­ts. Proceeds to Community Hall.

April 12

• Free tax clinic – for simple, low income returns from 1 p.m.-4 p.m. at New Glasgow library. By appointmen­t only. Call (902) 755-6031.

• Informatio­n Session – For patients and caregivers, hosted by Kidney Cancer Canada 7-9 p.m. at the Bethune Building ballroom, Halifax. Speaking on living with kidney cancer in the Maritimes.
