• Knitting Circle – Alternatin­g Saturdays at 2:30 p.m., New Glasgow library.

• Auction 45s – Pictou New Horizons Club, 7 p.m. Admission $2.

• Karaoke – New Glasgow Legion by Doug Odo, 9 p.m.-1 a.m.

• Family Lego Time – Pictou library, runs all day. All are welcome.

• Card Party – Bridgevill­e Community Hall 7:30 p.m. Lunch served. Everyone welcome.

• Imaginatio­n Saturdays – Make something cool to take home, crafts, Lego (drop-in, all ages) 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Pictou Library; 10 a.m.-3 p.m. River John Library; 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Westville Public Library; 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Stellarton Public Library.

• Soup/Chili & Dessert Supper – St Andrew’s Presbyteri­an Church, New Glasgow, 5-7 p.m. Please use George St. entrance. Cost $8.

• Variety Concert – Sponsored by Durham Ladies Guild at Durham Church Hall 7:30 p.m. Skits, music featuring various artists, door prizes, pop, fudge. Adults $5, children under 10 $2. Proceeds toward buying a

defibrilla­tor.

• World Day of Prayer – First Baptist 2 p.m. “All of God’s Creation Is Good.” Ever hear of Suriname? Find out more about the importance of this name. All welcome.

• Baked Beans & Fish Cake Supper – Christ Anglican Church, 50 Bridge Ave., Stellarton 4-6 p.m. $10/adults $6/children. Takeout available by calling 902-755-4418

• Live Music – Trenton Legion with Dennis & Bud. 8 p.m.-close.

April 14

• Craft and Vendor Shopping Event – North End Rec Centre 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Admission $2 with all proceeds going to the North End playground project.

• Spring Rally – Atlantic Mission Society at the Springvill­e Hall 2 p.m., everyone welcome. Guest speaker Debbie Stewart.

• Pancake Breakfast – Scotsburn United Church 8-10:30 a.m. Pancakes with local maple syrup, whipped cream and blueberry sauce, maple sausage, homemade baked beans, juice, tea and coffee – gluten-free option available! $8 per adult, $4 per child, children under 5 yrs free! Great local entertainm­ent. All welcome!

• Auction 45s – Trenton Legion 1 p.m.

• Spring Breakfast – Plymouth Fire Hall 7-11 a.m. or until sold out. Cost $8.

• Spring Craft Sale – ADE Tri-Lodge, 427 Little Harbour Rd., New Glasgow, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Handmade cards, crafts, Rodan & Fields Skincare, card readings, yard sale items, books, etc. Coffee, tea, and homemade desserts for sale. Hosted by Ceilidh Chapter #10 Order of the Eastern Star.

• Movie “Risen” – Showing at Christ Church Stellarton 2 p.m. All welcome, no charge.

• No Pipe Open House – Hosted by Friends of the Northumber­land

Strait at Northumber­land Fisheries Museum, 21 Caladh Ave., Pictou, 1-4 p.m. Presentati­on by Joan Baxter, author “The Mill.” Displays, take action booths, family activities, chowder contest.

April 15

• North End Rec Centre – Annual general meeting at the centre, 6:30 p.m. All welcome.

• Pancake and Sausage Breakfast – Held by Little Harbour Fire Department, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Little Harbour Community Centre. Tickets $7 for adults and $3 for children. For ticket info call 695-3125.

• Kitchen Racket/Jam Session – Plymouth Community Centre 2 p.m. Lunch served, free will offering. Musicians and Audience Welcome.

• Pictou County Ostomy Support Group – Meeting in the boardroom, first floor, Aberdeen Hospital, 2-4 p.m. New members welcome. For info call 902-485-4822.

• Pictou County Roots for Youth

– Annual General Meeting 7 p.m. in the Community Room of the New Glasgow Police Station. All are welcome.

• Music Circle Jam – West Branch Hall 6:30-9:30 p.m. Admission for players is free, listeners free will, $2.50 suggested. Light refreshmen­ts. Proceeds to Community Hall. Shared sweets!
