THORBURN/STELLARTON – Sadie passed away peacefully at Valley View Villa on June 5, 2018.

She was born in Thorburn November 16, 1918, and resided there for 91 years. In August 2009 she moved to Haven Brook Manor and later Valley View Villa, Stellarton.

During WW II she worked in the shell manufactur­ing shop in Trenton and in the Pictou Shipyards.

She was honoured to receive the Governor General Bronze medal for bravery for saving a life.

She is survived by daughter, Pam Jamieson (Roland), Mill Bay, BC., son, John (Janice Williams), Egerton, grandchild­ren, Sherri Jamieson McGean (Brian), Stephanie Babin (David), Shannon Jamieson (John Atkinson), Tyler and Zack Cameron, great-grandsons, Cameron, Haydn, Reece and Chase, sister, June MacIntosh, several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents Arthur and Jessie MacIntosh, she was predecease­d by her husband, Bert, sisters, Margaret, Kate, Muriel, brothers, John, Fred, Wesley, Harry, Fraser and Morrell.

Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held 12:30 – 2 p.m. on Thursday, June 28, 2018, at H.W. Angus Funeral Home New Glasgow, NS, with memorial service immediatel­y following with Rev. Dr. Jim Schaffner presiding. A reception will follow the service.

Private family burial will follow the reception.
