Busy intersection will get attention

PICTOU — Pictou’s traffic authority is taking a closer look at a busy intersection.

Pictou County RCMP Cpl. Greg Deagle told town council he

would like further study on how to improve the intersection of Water, Coleraine and Front streets in the downtown area.

He said a four-way stop might create better traffic flow, but more review is needed so he will bring the authority’s suggestions back to a September council meeting.
