• CARMA Fundraiser – at Pet Valu in New Glasgow from 12-4 p.m. Gift cards fundraiser­s, goodies for sale, pictures with Santa, donation cards and Tupperware that will donate 40 per cent of their proceeds to CARMA.

• Holiday at the Museum – Free admission at the Museum of Industry for a seasonally-inspired activity day including, Tiny Tinsel Town, Storytime with Santa – 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Help decorate the Kids’ Train or make an ornament for home – 10:30 a.m.-4 p.m, Museum shop sale, 20 per cent off, explore the pop-up shop of local artisans, bring a wrapped toy for NS North Nova Jeep Club Toy Drive (outside – until the Jeep is full) Meet Bubba and other St. John Ambulance therapy dogs who will be paying us a special, gentle visit.

• Candleligh­t Service – St. John’s Presbyteri­an, McLennan’s Mountain at 7 p.m. with The Mountain men choir, and favorite carols by local artists. Enjoy the old church decorated as it was in the 1800’s. Refreshmen­ts to follow.

• 9th Annual Christmas Concert – with the West Branch & Area Singers & Musicians at 7 p.m. at Bethel Presbyteri­an Church, Scotsburn. (Storm date, Sunday, Dec 16, 7 p.m.) Good Will offering to benefit Bethel Church, and the two churches and hall at West Branch. Lunch will follow.

• Christmas Open House – at Earth ARC Animal Respite Centre, 1-4 p.m. Bake sale, and Earth ARC Christmas cards, 50/50 and tickets on a Gift Basket. Compliment­ary hot chocolate and apple cider, decoration­s and carols as well as 23 horses. Located at 644 Heron Road, Four Mile Brook. Heron Road is off Highway 376, near Central West River.
