• Gamblers Anonymous – Gamblers Anonymous meeting held every Tuesday at

7:30 p.m. at the Trinity United Church, 151 Temperance Street, New Glasgow, N.S. (side door by office). Do you or someone you know have a gambling problem? Want to stop? We can help!

• Karaoke Night – at RCL Branch 35, Westville, Sunday nights with Kerry Williams from 7:30 – 11 p.m. Admission is $2/person.

• Weekly Music Circle Café Jam – Wednesdays 6:30 9:30 p.m. at West Branch Hall. Admission for players is free, listeners free will, $2.50 suggested. Limited kitchen. Proceeds; Community Hall. Shared sweets.

• Amateur Ball Hockey

• Jam Sessions – at the Durham Community Hall every Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. Shared lunch. Silver collection. All welcome.

• Employabil­ity Skills Workshops – for youth held at Roots House Wednesdays from 4 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. Workshops are for any youth aged 16 - 24. Topics include: Interview Skills, Conflict Resolution, Communicat­ion, Dressing for Success, and many more.

• Lego Builders Club – Tuesdays 3 to 4 p.m. at Museum of Industry, Stellarton. Ages 5 and older. Drop in to build, invent and create with Lego, including special projects featuring gears, machines, and mechanisms. Free admission, no pre-registrati­on required.

• Stellarton and Area Lions Club Meeting – 6:30 p.m.

• Carma Cat Rescue – is having an art show during the month of February at the deCoste center in Pictou. The silent auction for this art show will be taking place on the Carma Pictou County Facebook page. Art showcased comes from donated pieces by Nova Scotia artists.

• Stellarton Rink Meeting –

The Stellarton Memorial Rink Citizens Group will meet at the Stellarton Fire Hall at 7 p.m. A spokespers­on from the group will be presenting a slideshow during the informatio­n session. Come join us!

• Valentine Tea – Christ Anglican Church, Stellarton, 2-4 p.m. An afternoon of fun and fellowship. $5 admittance.

• Lismore Dinner Theatre

– Tickets for the 23rd Annual Lismore Dinner Theatre will go sale 10 a.m. until noon at the Lismore hall. Brunch will also be on sale that morning. This years show runs on March 6, March 7, and March 8. For further particular­s call 902-926-2589.

• Chase the Ace – Westville Rink and Westville Legion, 1-3 p.m. held at Westville Legion Br. 35. Jackpot is at $11,849.

February 17

• Heritage Day – at the Museum of Industry, Stellarton. Free admission. Tour the exhibit, A Walk Through Africville, Feel the Comforts of Home from the Africville Museum. Kids can grab some brushes and paint a picture inspired by the Africville exhibit. Basket maker Clara Gough will show how baskets are woven in the distinctiv­e Black Nova Scotian tradition. Weave a small woven paper craft to take home. Drop-in any time from 10 am to 4 pm. Enjoy a special screening of the documentar­y, AFRICVILLE: Can't Stop Now at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. in the auditorium. The Museum’s hands-on exhibits will be open throughout the day.

• Monthly Meeting – of the Pictou County Prostate Cancer Support Associatio­n will be held at 7 p.m. in the UCT Building behind Summer Street Industries on Park Street, New Glasgow. The building is wheelchair accessible. A social time will follow.

February 21

• Jitney Trail Moonlight Night Hike – Hike Nova Scotia and Pictou Recreation & Parks present a guided moonlight night hike on the Jitney Trail in Pictou at 6 pm. Registrati­on details at www. hikenovasc­otia.ca.
