Big Brothers Big Sisters of
Pictou County is especially grateful of this gift due to the difficult circumstances they are facing with Covid-19.
“We are so grateful for such as substantial donation particularly during such tough times,” said Margie GrantWalsh, executive director of the local organization. “It is so wonderful that a company as large as Monat appreciates the importance of providing essential services to young girls through our Go Girls! Program, particularly in a smaller community. Young people facing adversities are most vulnerable during COVID and this is one way to help them through this challenge. “
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Pictou County is grateful for this donation but wants to remind everyone that there are still over 205 kids waiting for mentors.
“We really need you to step up and volunteer to help and support our young people,” Grant-Walsh said. “We have a multitude of programs that you can engage in and do not require much time. You can even mentor from your sofa in our virtual programs. Just give us a call, it will enhance your life as well as the life of a child.”
Some of the program include, Virtual Mentoring, In School Mentoring, Peer Mentoring in the high schools to Big G 55+ mentoring. Please consider donating your time to help ignite potential in children in Pictou County. Call 902-752-6260 to volunteer today or visit www. bbbsofpc.com
