Police make major meth bust

Niagara Regional Police seized $34,430 in drugs after searching a residence in St. Catharines’ Facer Street area Wednesday. Three men were arrested after officers from the street crime units executed a warrant and found a large quantity of crystal methamphet­amine, crack cocaine, GHB, psilocybin (magic mushrooms) and marijuana as well as $2,650 in cash. Police also confiscate­d a prohibited weapon. Shane Marko, 34, of St. Catharines was charged with two counts of possession for the purpose of traffickin­g; possession of proceeds of crime under $5,000, possession of a prohibited weapon and five counts of fail to comply with a recognizan­ce. Ryan Luken, 36, of St. Catharines was charged with two counts of possession for the purpose of traffickin­g. Kyle Alldread, 32, of Niagara Falls was charged with possession for the purpose of traffickin­g, three counts of possession of a controlled substance and possession of proceeds of crime under $5,000.
