Grey’s Anatomy back on top

-

Nothing black or white about it —

Grey’s Anatomy is still viewer bait, 13 seasons into its run. Thirteen seasons. Think about that. When the show debuted, no one owned an iPhone, YouTube had just launched and Destiny’s Child had broken up.

Ah, those misty water-coloured memories of the way we were.

The first Grey’s Anatomy episode of the new year shot the ABC medical drama to the No. 3 spot in Canada, propelled by viewers anxious to learn whether Alex (Justin Chambers) would go to jail.

Regular top performers NCIS, Bull and This is Us filled out the Top 10, with The Big Bang Theory just edging into the Top 10. But don’t think the beloved sitcom has fallen from grace — there just wasn’t a new episode that week. The nerds will nevertheless have their revenge.

Across the country, NCIS was must-see in Calgary and the Greater Toronto Area, Oilers hockey skated to the top in Edmonton, CTV Evening News was No. 1 in Montreal and Global News Hour at 6 reigned in Vancouver.
