Season 10 finale of The Big Bang Theory brings back women from seasons past
POSTMEDIA NETWORK Sheldon Cooper, ladykiller? The character best described as a really smart daddy-long-legs will be the object of a woman’s affections in the season 10 finale of
airing Thursday night. And that woman isn’t his girlfriend, Amy.
Instead, it’s Dr. Ramona Nowitski (Riki Lindhome) — remember her from season 2? She was obsessed with the spindly fella played by Jim Parsons, giving him footrubs and making him breakfast while he toiled on a problem for work.
Ramona pops up again while Amy (Mayim Bialek) is away at Princeton University for a summer research fellowship. And she seems just as amorous as ever.
“One of the things that we found interesting while Amy’s away is what happens if another woman comes in and makes a play for Sheldon and how that would affect everybody,” executive producer Steve Molaro told the

After a flutter of uncertainty behind the scenes a few weeks ago, as Bialek and Melissa Rauch were deep in contract negotiations,
is now locked in for another two seasons at CBS — likely the series’ final ones. A spinoff prequel titled

“It’s like an origin story. I was trying to come up with an idea for a show, and we had this idea about my little nephew, who is really smart, down in Texas,” Parsons explained on
this week. “My family is pretty average — no offense to them, but they’re very normal, and he’s very smart. One thing led to another and I thought, ‘This could be Sheldon.’ ” He then brought the idea to
co-creator Chuck Lorre, who gave the idea the go-ahead.
Parsons will narrate the show as adult Sheldon. Zoe Perry will embody Sheldon’s mother Mary Cooper. On The Perry’s real-life mother Laurie Metcalf plays the character. CraveTV’s offbeat comedy
won’t be back for season 2. The show, about a slacker who discovers he’s really the second coming of Jesus Christ, debuted on the streaming service in March.
“We had a good run,” creator Andrew De Angelis wrote in a Facebook post.
