On Thursday, May 18 at 7 p.m., join musicians Gerardo Molina, Marcela Lagunas and Dr. Martha Placeres Aguirre for an evening of classical music at the Victoria Avenue Library. They will be performing Ludwig Van Beethoven’s Trio in D minor Op 70 Num 1 “Ghost” (Allegro vivace e con brio, Largo assai es expressivo, and Presto), George Frederic Handel’s Passacagli­a for Violin and Cello), Felix Bartholdi Mendelssoh­n’s Trio in D minor Op 49 Num 1 (Molto allegro ed agitato, Andante con motto tranquilo, Scherzo: leggiero e vivace) and Allegro assai appassiona­to. This program is free and no registrati­on is required.

Looking for something to do on Friday, May 19? Come have some fun on your day off from school at the library. You could not, would not, want to miss a P.D. day as fun as this! Make a Cat in the Hat mask, do the Suessical scavenger hunt, make a Truffula Tree, paint your very own Thing 1 (or Thing 2), try the One Fish, Two Fish bean bag toss, knock down the Cat in the Hat tower, or take a picture in the Cat in the Hat photo booth at the Victoria Avenue Library and Stamford Centre Library. Drop in anytime from 10:30 a.m. - 2 p.m. This program is free and no registrati­on is required.

Plus, at Victoria Avenue Library, stay for a Fun Film in the Pit at 2 p.m. Trolls (2016, 92 mins, G) stars the voices of Anna Kendrick and Justin Timberlake. After the Bergens invade Troll Village, Poppy, the happiest Troll ever born, and the curmudgeon­ly Branch set off on a journey to rescue her friends.This program is free and no registrati­on is required. Bring your own snacks.

Looking for a movie for adults? Tuesday, May 23 at 6:30 p.m. catch La La Land (128 minutes, Rated PG) at Victoria Avenue Library. In this Oscar nominated musical, a jazz pianist falls for an aspiring actress in Los Angeles. Starring Ryan Gosling, Emma Stone, and Sandra Rosko. Free. No registrati­on required. Bring your own snacks.
