Huge yard sale will support Dragon Boat team

Wonder Woman’s Warriors Breast Cancer Survivor (BCS) Dragon Boat crew are fundraising to participate in the 2018 International BCS Dragon Boat Festival in Florence, Italy. Multiple families and dozens of donors have contributed to their huge Yard Sale Fundraiser taking place Saturday, May 27, 202 Ontario St., St. Catharines 7:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. As part of the fundraiser, Value Village at 360 Ontario St. St. Catharines will make a donation to the dragon boat crew for any clothes and household items dropped off by the community on Saturday May 27 from noon to 5 p.m. To donate. please drop off at the receiving dock dedicated to Wonder Woman’s Warriors at the rear of the building, or at the yard sale that morning. Hope Floats BCS Dragon Boat Team (aka Wonder Woman’s Warriors) are inviting breast cancer survivors to try three free introductory practices every Monday and Wednesday in May and June from 6:30 p.m. – 7:45 p.m. at South Niagara Canoe Club, 108 Thorold Road, Welland. Not a breast cancer survivor? The women’s and mixed Dragon Boat Crews practice at the same place and time and are extending the same offer to anyone interested in an introduction to Dragon Boating.
