Charge laid in serious Falls crash
Police have charged a Mississauga man following a serious motorvehicle crash in Niagara Falls that left three people injured Tuesday.
Niagara Regional Police arrested and charged Muhammad Aulakh, 26, with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing bodily harm.
Police are appealing to any businesses in the area that may have video surveillance showing a white Land Rover northbound on Stanley Avenue between Murray Street and McLeod Road.
Police said the vehicle is believed to have been operating in that area between noon and 12:45 p.m. Tuesday.
Police ask any witnesses and/or people possessing video evidence to call them at 905-688-4111, ext. 2200.
Police said Aulakh was released on a promise to appear, and is scheduled to appear at the St. Catharines courthouse July 19.
One person was air lifted to hospital after a serious two-vehicle crash in Niagara Falls Tuesday afternoon.
Police said at approximately 12:30 p.m.. emergency personnel were called to a collision at the intersection of Stanley Avenue and Murray Street involving a white Land Rover and a silver Nissan Maxima.
Damage to both vehicles was extensive, while the two occupants of the silver Maxima had to be extricated from their vehicle.
An Ornge air ambulance was called to take one of the occupants to hospital for treatment.
All three people involved were taken to hospital for further treatment.
Police said the parties involved continue to recover from their injuries.
