Toronto police say that after an officer bought an alleged shoplifter the clothes he was trying to steal for a job interview, the teenager got the job.

Police responded to a report of shoplifting at a Walmart in the city’s north end last week, where they found the details of the case to be somewhat unusual.

The would-be thief had attempted met their end.

Memorial attendees fastened flowers to poles on either side of the crosswalk where three geese were hit by a motorist last week.

Police say one of the geese survived, but the other two were killed in the collision.

The duo was part of a gaggle of nine geese that’s known to waddle across that particular crosswalk.

Jean says Saturday’s “lighthearted memorial” was meant for the Dartmouth community to mourn the beloved if sometimes snappy geese and send a message about road safety. to steal a long-sleeved shirt, a tie and a pair of socks.

The officer involved, Const. Niran Jeyanesan, says such items are not common targets for shoplifters.

On Saturday morning, police announced that the 18-year-old had landed the job in the “service industry” and is set to start work soon.
