Gomez returns as face of Coach
Singer-actress to plug spring 2018 line
Selena Gomez is reprising her role as the face of Coach for the spring 2018 season.
The singer and actress was tapped as a brand ambassador for the U.S. luxury fashion label in December 2016, and has since gone on to unveil a limited-edition range of handbags for the company.
Now, Gomez is starring in a new photo campaign for Coach, shot by acclaimed fashion photographer Steven Meisel, with an accompanying video set against a backdrop of New York City.
“(Coach) creative director Stuart Vevers makes New York feel like a town, a real community,” Gomez said. “It just feels like this is where the brand really lives.”
In one photo, Gomez, 25, is posing against a window with the Empire State Building in the background and sports a pale pink minidress, leather jacket and glittery cowboy-style boots, while clutching the newseason quilted Parker bag.
The video is set to her hit tune Wolves, released this past October, and shows her dancing in an apartment, showing off merchandise from the collection.
Speaking about the project, Vevers said he was thrilled with the final result.
“Steven Meisel’s photography brings a layer of magic to those seemingly everyday situations,” he shared. “While Selena has a warmth that’s special — there is also an authenticity and realness to her that brings the campaign to life.”
Coach’s new Parker handbag is due to hit stores shelves next month, with other items expected out later in the season.
