Our new library hours have begun.

The library is committed to providing exceptional customer service and our new hours reflect customer interest in more consistent hours.

Both the Community Centre and Stamford Centre libraries are now open at 9 a.m. from Monday through Saturday. Focused staff resources allows us to serve our customers better in the times when we meet them in our spaces. An exciting addition to our new hours is our pilot project beginning this week at the Community Centre library.

For the months of May and June we will be conducting a pilot project and increasing the hours of operation on Fridays from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and opening on Sundays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Our great staff will be on hand to assist you and gather information on these additional hours.

Your library can help keep you organized. You may find yourself wishing you’d written down what you’d read or want to read. We can help with that.

Accessing your account from home allows you to create wish lists and to keep record of items that you have read. Once you are logged into your account, click on the My Lists tab in your Account Summary box. Add a new list by giving your list a name and then click on the Submit button.

You are now ready to add interesting books to read when you come across them the catalogue. To keep track of what you’ve already read, click on the Account Preferences tab found in your Account Summary box and then click on the Search and History Preferences tab. Check off the box beside Keep a history of checked out items. And from that moment on, you’ll be able to see a history of what you’ve read … now that’s convenient.

Enjoy all our great programs at each of our four locations and be sure not to miss the movie “Wonder Wheel” starring Kate Winslet and Justin Timberlake at the Victoria Avenue library on Tuesday, May 8, at 6 p.m.
