- JOHN LAW

Comedy star Amy Schumer is on her way to Niagara Fallsview Casino Resort in August.

The Emmy-winning star of “Inside Amy Schumer” brings her current stand-up tour, “Amy Schumer and Friends,” to Niagara Falls Aug. 2. The only other Canadian stop will be at the Caesars Windsor casino Sept. 13.

Schumer wrote and starred in the 2015 hit “Trainwreck,” and currently stars in “I Feel Pretty,” about an insecure woman who gains self-confidence about her appearance after a head injury.

Her 2016 memoir, “The Girl with the Lower Back Tattoo,” topped the New York Times nonfiction bestseller list for two weeks.

Tickets for her Fallsview appearance start at $150.

Also coming to the casino’s Avalon Ballroom in August is Jeff Dunham’s Passively Aggressive Tour for two nights, Aug. 3 and 4. Tickets start at $80.

On the music side will be Rock & Roll Hall of Fame members Blondie Aug. 24 ($70), The 5th Dimension Aug. 30 and 31 ($25), WAR Aug. 18 ($35), Notte Italiana Aug. 25 and 26 ($80), an extended run of Cruisin’ Classics Aug. 9 to 17 ($25) and the Songwriters Series featuring Howie Day ($40).

Tickets for all August shows go on sale Friday at noon at the Fallsview box office, www.ticketmaster.ca and all Ticketmaster outlets.
