Ni­a­gara sites to be lit for can­cer fight

Three iconic Ni­a­gara sites will be among 130 across Canada to be il­lu­mi­nated for the sixth an­nual Stand Up To Can­cer event.

Cana­dian and Amer­i­can TV net­works will air an hour­long broad­cast start­ing 8 p.m. on Sept. 7 fea­tur­ing celebri­ties in­clud­ing Reese Wither­spoon, Trevor Noah and Keith Ur­ban rais­ing money and aware­ness for the fight against can­cer.

The Horse­shoe Falls and Sky­lon Tower in Ni­a­gara Falls and the Peace Bridge in Fort Erie will join land­marks across North Amer­ica such as the New York Stock Ex­change, the Wrigley Build­ing in Chicago and the Cap­i­tal Wheel out­side Washington be­ing lit in or­ange, red, yel­low and white.
