Niagara sites to be lit for cancer fight
Three iconic Niagara sites will be among 130 across Canada to be illuminated for the sixth annual Stand Up To Cancer event.
Canadian and American TV networks will air an hourlong broadcast starting 8 p.m. on Sept. 7 featuring celebrities including Reese Witherspoon, Trevor Noah and Keith Urban raising money and awareness for the fight against cancer.
The Horseshoe Falls and Skylon Tower in Niagara Falls and the Peace Bridge in Fort Erie will join landmarks across North America such as the New York Stock Exchange, the Wrigley Building in Chicago and the Capital Wheel outside Washington being lit in orange, red, yellow and white.
