St. Catharines ‘dis­tur­bance’ caught on cell­phones

The Ni­a­gara Regional Po­lice Ser­vice re­sponded to a “dis­tur­bance” in the area of St. Paul and James streets in St. Catharines at about 3 a.m. on Sun­day.

Po­lice at­tended the area where they lo­cated two male vic­tims, said a news re­lease. The vic­tims ap­peared to be suf­fer­ing from head and fa­cial in­juries.

Fur­ther in­ves­ti­ga­tion re­vealed that the vic­tims and as­sailants were known to each other from an ar­gu­ment which oc­curred ear­lier in the evening on St. Paul Street.

In­for­ma­tion was also re­ceived that a num­ber of wit­nesses in the area at the time of the dis­tur­bance recorded the in­ci­dent on their cel­lu­lar de­vices.
