Sam Manyon had a lot to declare at the border on his way home to Akron, Ohio, after the final program of the motorcycle racing season at Welland County Speedway.

In addition to winning points championships in the Vintage Mod, Vintage and Veterans divisions, the airline pilot raced to nine feature wins at the dirt oval in Welland this year.

Only Taia Little of Welland and Chuck Graham of Embrun, Ont., southeast of Ottawa, collected more checkered flags at the track this season with 11 and 10, respectively. Little, 14, set the pace in Youth 250 and Open Novice and trailed only fellow Wellander Jacob Rainville in the points race in 450 Novice.
