Man, woman wanted in Falls pot farm shooting
Shooting victim continues to recover from his injuries
Arrest warrants have been issued for two people in connection to a shooting at a Niagara Falls marijuanagrowing facility earlier this month.
Niagara Regional Police on the afternoon of Sept. 17 responded to an area of Somerville and Willoughby roads, where a 45year-old man had been shot.
On Sept. 20, a 58-year-old Niagara Falls man was arrested and charged with numerous weapons and drug related
offences.
But as a result of the ongoing investigation detectives are now looking for a man and woman for their alleged roles in the incident, police said in a news release issued Thursday.
Jason Frederick Collette, 39, of no fixed address is wanted for assault and administer noxious substance.
Pamela Ann Bowman, 38, also of no fixed address, is wanted for accessory after the fact.
Police said the shooting victim continues to recover from his injuries.
Although the operation was licensed to grow cannabis, as a
result of the shooting investigation detectives located plants in various states of growth — the numbers of cannabis plants, the manner in which they were being grown and tended to did not comply with the licence for the property. With the assistance of members from the guns, gangs and grows unit the plants were subsequently seized.
Frederick Roy Collette was arrested Sept. 20 charged with discharge firearm – recklessness, discharge firearm with intent, aggravated assault, administer noxious substance, possession contrary to order (firearm), possession contrary to order (bear spray), firearm: knowledge of unauthorized possession, and unlawful production of marijuana.
